Hamtramck is one of two cities that are completely engulfed by the city of Detroit, and it is famous for it's once heavily Polish population. So many in fact, that it drew Pope John Paul II to visit the city back in 1987. That memory is distant, but one that's not is the giant Kowalski Sausage greeting visitors as they drive on Holbrook from the Chrysler Expressway to the Hamtramck downtown strip on Caniff.
We cut this sign from mild steel a little thinner than 1/8 inch.
