The Michigan Map USA Flag is a play on the popular version depicted on the Continental 48, which we call the USA Map Flag.  We cut this from mild steel just a little thinner than 1/8 inch.

This is a two layered piece that is powder coated Star Spangled colors for a classic Patriotic look.  The back plate is powder coated clear, while the top layer uses both candy blue and candy red.  The candy colors are translucent, allowing you to see the unique grinding that each USA Map Flag has on its metal surface. 

So you might be asking, why clear backer and not white? The clear powder coat just drives home that this is a metal piece now that you can see the swirly grindin' on the backer's surface. And even though the backer is clear, it still feels like it's red, white and blue.

However... If you don't think you could ever be happy with the backer being clear and not white, fear not.  They're made to order anyway, and we will gladly make you one with a white backer instead.
